I'm Drew, aviation photographer based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I first started my journey known as Reedville3. I created this username when I was very young, and it actually originated from when I played Minecraft. I thought it sounded cool, so I chose that and went on with my day. I began to not only love playing Minecraft, but also the username. I watched a lot of YouTube videos back then, and thought it would be super cool to start a channel, so I did. Can you guess what I named it?
My family would travel a lot, and even when I was a kid, I loved airplanes. I thought it’d be super cool to “document” our travels. I posted a lot of videos of landings and takeoffs, and they honestly did decent for a channel with only 89 subscribers.
I then got interested in taking pictures of planes now that I had a phone. I still laugh today because of how good I thought those photos looked. With a 7 year old phone back in 2018, you can probably guess how those pictures looked.
What started as a simple passion for aviation has grown into an amazing journey that I never could have imagined when I first created my Instagram account back in 2022. As an AvGeek, I’ve always loved everything about aviation. From the excitement of airports and aircraft to the memories and experiences that come with traveling. At first, I mainly shared photos and clips on Instagram just for fun, but over time, more and more people began following along and supporting the content I was creating. Seeing that community continue to grow inspired me to expand onto YouTube.
Expanding back onto YouTube allowed me to share even more of the trips, planes, airports, and moments that make aviation so special to me, but this time as planewatcher389. I truly enjoy filming every experience whenever I get the opportunity, whether it’s a major trip or just a day around the airport.
